HP Touchpad

Images I have been using the Touchpad for just about a month now and will have to say I love the software and the look of it. But I wanted to be able to use it for school, but it doesn't have apps that I need. On the iPad I used notetaker which lets you take notes with a stylus or your finger. I could create documents with an office type app. Also I miss having the option for games and well all the other apps I had on the iPad. Wether they were foolish or useful. I will give the Touchpad 6 months to start showing productivity apps. They push the buisness aspect of it, but don't buisnesses create documents. Sure I can use the web programs, but what if I am not with internet; then what? So if you want it for school or work right now I wouldn't. I should have waited but I had hopes. I do enjoy the apps it does have, there movie app, facebook app, Kindle ( when I actually read lol)  calendar,  email;the basics. And the cards feature letting you multi task.

Spring

Ipad A time of change from cold to warmth. As I use my iPad I am able to count the days until spring. Use my notetaker app for taking notes in class. I also enjoy using my iPad to play games such as Castle Warriors and Angry Birds. lol Which does make me angry at times.

My iPad 2 and me

GBAPPIPADFB I waited 5 hours to get my iPad, and it was defiantly worth getting there early. doors opened at 5 and it took me 12 minutes to grab my iPad and go. At first I was afraid to use it. I did not want it to get any scratches on it. I went home and ordered a full body invisishield for it from ZAGG.com. Side note when I went to BestBuy to get one they informed me that they had to return their shipment of them because they were not cut right. I hope that is not he case for all of them. So for now I have cut an older body shield to fit the back of mine, temporarily I had gotten it at Verizon for only 29.99. And  putting the front shield on from the previous iPad had no effect on the front camera. So if you have not grabbed a shield yet and are concerned, grab an old one. So other then that I love the new look and feel of the iPad and enjoyed waiting in line socializing with a group of wonderful fellow Apple folk. Ironically and strange the gentlemen behind me was actually a class mate; what are the odds of that?

My iPad and MEEEEE

366572045-0            It has been a long time since I have posted, So let me start by saying hello to all the addicts. I wanted to share "How I am using my device,( or in this case iPad)" I have started a new semester at College, and decided to loosen my work load. I am sure that there are other students out there who will get what I am saying when I say that I hate carrying all the books, notebooks and laptops. So I have decided to give my iPad a chance to prove its worthiness in the area of note taking. So I have gone out, and purchased myself the Targus stylus at Sears for 10.00 compared to Best Buy for 18.00. I then downloaded a few note taking apps, Pendulum, and Note Taker HD. I chose Note Taker HD the winner to take my notes. Still in the process of learning how to use all of the features it offers. I did like the way Pendulum allowed you to create notebooks.  Anyway I now keep four classes worth of notes in my iPad. In fact just today I imported my homework I saved as a PDF and emailed to myself. I opened it using Note Taker HD and was able to write my answers as if it was on a real sheet of paper; which is cool because I have to email it to my professor. Of course you can also download Docstogo and do your papers just like you would in Office. So I have removed the need (for now) to carrying my laptop and notebooks. I haven't done it yet but there e-books for school now as well. So I have reduced the bulky heavy bag down a little bit. lol. I also use it to check emails, schedule and leisure.  Thanks for reading. Have a Great Day!

EVO 4G

Htc-evo-4g-01-top_275x325     Hey gang, Just wanted to let you know that I have gone from an iPhone to the new Sprint EVO 4G, and must admit I do not miss the iPhone. The EVO offers a 4.3-inch WVGA display, 720p video recording, and an 8 megapixel camera, the real kicker is its support for WiMAX -- the first commercial handset with 4G to launch in the US -- along with mobile hotspot capability that can serve up to 8 WiFi-equipped devices simultaneously.A few other features, Sprint TV, FM radio and oh yeah you can video chat using QIK or Fring. Not the greatest picture and there is a slight delay, but still cool to video chat from a cell phone. I also love the " Live Wallpapers" these are wall papers that are actually in motion, like the fall leaves on a lake, or my favorite, the colored bubbles floating around. Also when you unlock the screen the weather becomes animated. If it rains, rain drops fall onto your screen and then a windshield wiper wipes it dry, and when there is a lightning storm, lightning will flash across the screen. It also keeps your contacts synced with other accounts such as Twitter, Facebook, and Flicker so you can always see whats going on with your friends and family. Using Google's calendar email and contacts is also nice. You will be able to sync and make changes from your phone, computer or online. For more info and how to set it up just go to gmail.com and click on support. It will explain to you how to set it up.

I have been using the phone since its release. The only thing I do miss is the Apps that I spent money on for the iPhone. But the money saved on the Sprint everything plan will make up for it. I find the phone to be quick, and responsive. The more I use it and run apps the quicker the battery drains. So I do recommend a car charger. But with normal use I find the battery life to be fine. Just like anything the more you use it the quicker the battery drains. The camera is a decent quality. Also video recording is good and can be done in 720p. Another cool feature is the fact that you can connect it to a HD tv and watch your movies and do a slide show using your photos. ( a separate 29.99 cable is required ). I recommend the phone highly.

Bugme....Posting notes , just got a makeover

Many-Notes-266x400Hey guys,

I have recently been given a chance to use a great little app that takes what Apple provides and enhances it 100%, It is called BugMe.  It is a little post it note program That allows you to take control of your post and how they look.  You can change the color, of the paper, color of the ink and the thickness of what your writing. And you get to use your finger to write, (which is neat). perhaps you will use to create notes or reminders for a honey dooo list, or milk, appointments,  last minute phone numbers or whatever it may be.  You can email the note, send to twitter, your home screen or save to your photo album. It even gives you the chance to set an alarm as a reminder. Try it out.Just click the pic and it will take you to the iTunes app store. It brings fun to remembering.

Oh Sunny Day

Images-1 What a beautiful day, right now as I write this on my brand new 17 inch MacBook Pro, I am sitting outside soaking up the rays. It has been so nice not to have rain, and finally feel the sun and its warmth. To be able to sit outside browse the web and as I said write this article. I also wanted to recommend to any one buying a new gadget; go to zagg.com and get yourself an invisible shield.

Images This has got to be the best thing invented. I use it on my iPhone and now have got one for my MacBook Pro. It can be tricky to put on with lining everything up, but with a little patience and time its worth it. it scratch proofs it and has a life time guarantee. Anyway I hope where you are it is beautiful out and you will check out Zagg.com.

The Goodreader app

Gr-icon-96 Spending some time doing your basic document reading and pdf viewing using the Goodreader app on my iPhone, I will have to say that I found this to be really easy to use. It makes reading the files more enjoyable with no more side to side swiping to just read a line at a time. I am just a basic user and am only using the basics of the app.  I do have one warning if you are not network savvy or have at least a basic understanding of networking you will have to email or download your documents off your emails, websites or your online storage like Mobile-me. I was not able to get my network to connect to be able to transfer the files. Even with trying the step by step. This app can be used to view photos, movies and websites as well.  Like I said I have only skimmed the surface so I will leave the rest of the exploration to you guys. Anyone using or have used the app, please weigh in. I would like to hear what you think as well.

Goodreader

I have been trying out the goodreader app for the iPhone and must say it is pretty neat. I am still trying to figure out how to use it to its full potential, but so far so good. I like the fact that it puts your documents in a way that well like it says you don't have to scroll side to side just to read a sentence. That is a pain. Though it is a great app I feel it is a great app for anybody with an iPhone who uses it on a daily basis for emails and reading any size
document. If you get a chance download the
trial version and check it out. I myself am still learning out the features and gestures, and was a little confudsed at first on setup. But i was able to figure it out. It's actually even easier if you use the "MANUEL" lol. I will keep you posted on my usage and features. Also anybody else with their useing of Goodreader and want to share that would be great.

How I use....

Iphone-3gs On a daily basis I use my iphone for keeping track of my appointments and class schedule.I am able to sync it between my Mac at home as well so i never screw it up. And thanks to dataviz, I am able to also take along documents to be able to edit and or review while on the go, Great for times when i am not able to bust out the laptop. And besides my iPhone I also use my Sony viao laptop for my school assignments in and out of the classroom. It is so funny to think about where one would be without a mobile device of some kind.for personal, education and business.

Sorry about the reprint, I screwed up as you can see....
