[From James Sorenson, CA, USA] I've been using Dropsync on my Android HTC Inspire and Archos 70 tablet for about 5 months now. It has finally made DropBox useful for me. The stock DropBox client does not sync, but only allows you to access your account over the web. This means I have to open DropBox first to get my file, costing me precious wireless data from my cap. Then I have to remember to upload the changes. Since my Archos lacks 3G, the DropBox client is useless on the go! However, Dropsync will give you true syncing of your DropBox account to your flash memory. It will auto-detect and sync changes, or you can schedule a specific time. You can also set it to only sync while in WiFi so you don't consume your wireless data quota. I use it to sync my camera photos/videos so I don't have to bother with manual syncing. It also keeps my documents and eBooks on hand. The latest version will now use the credentials from the official DropBox app, so you don't have to give the company your DropBox password. There is a freeware version that allows you to sync a single folder, but it took only a week for me to decide it was a keeper. It's just a pity the original DropBox client didn't have this functionality. Thanks for sticking with us, Sam. Few PDA sites have lasted as long as yours!
