[From Lynnette]
The way we talk about Sir Edmund
Hillary in this country some times,
you’d be forgiven for thinking that
the famous Kiwi, and first man on
top of Everest (not counting the
mystery of Mallory, and of course,
those forgotten Sherpas) was in fact
a Brit. He wasn’t of course, and the
first Britons to achieve this
amazing feat were actually Dougal
Haston and Doug Scott, who reached
the summit over 20 years later, on
the 24th September 1975. Just to
make it that little bit more
impressive, they did so by scaling
the previously unclimbed, and
horrendously difficult south-west
face.
To celebrate this awesome
achievement, Proporta is offering
all its web customers 15% off on the
34th anniversary of the climb. So if
you fancy feeling on top of the
world, check out their range of
gadgets, gizmos and goodies, and bag
yourself a bargain to boot. All you
have to do is simply enter the code
DOUG on the cart page to claim your
discount.
* Offer available only on Proporta
branded products and on orders
placed on Thursday 24th September
2009.
