Jen Edwards at Brighthand has posted her thoughts on the Samsung Solstice which looks a nice enough device. "The Solstice is in many ways the spiritual successor to the Samsung Impression, also from AT&T. This consumer-oriented device features a 3-inch touchscreen and a microSD slot for cards up to 16 GB in capacity, but it doesn't have the physical QWERTY keyboard that the Impression does. That's a good thing in my opinion, because the Solstice is much thinner and lighter, and the large on-screen keyboard works so well that you probably won't miss the physical keys." Read in full.
Sticking with new gadgets, TracyandMatt get their hands on a Toshiba TG01. "Rumours of the Toshiba TG01 surfaced about 8 months ago but Toshiba put and end to the rumours and speculation by announcing the TG01 officially at MWC in February of this year. As you'll see from the unboxing video below, the TG01 certainly isn't a small handset, in fact it has to be one of the largest available at the moment. Despite its large size the weight isn't too much of an issue though, weighing in at just 129g it is quite light and because its also very thin, 9.9mm, it doesn't feel huge in your hand or in your pocket."
