I would dearly love to try the Pre, but it simply doesn't make any sense for me.
First, I'm on AT&T and still have a contract with them. I can't see moving over to Sprint and facing a penalty at AT&T. Second, I wouldn't do it anyway. My iPhone plan is about $70 on AT&T and, as Peter pointed out below, I would be penalized an extra $20/month I I went with a Pre. This extra payment would give me nothing over and above what I already have on AT&T. I simply don't understand the logic behind Sprint's pricing structure.
Finally, I use my iPhone as my iPod. I have about 14Gig of music on it, and there is no way I could do this with the limited storage memory on the Pre. As a matter of fact, if the rumors are true and Apple will be releasing a 32Gig phone, I probably will get one of those so that I can get my entire music collection onto it.
I really, really, really hope that the Pre is successful and when they come out with a GSM version I'll probably buy one as it should work on AT&T (GSM makes it very easy to have a lot of phones. Just take out your SIM card from your current phone and put it into the new one and your are set to go.) Good luck, Palm. Sell them like crazy!
