Netbooks are all the rave. People have been snapping them up like hotcakes. It's actually been a very significant area for Linux to be getting more of a toehold into the mainstream.
Unfortunately for the penguin there is a bit of a deep freeze on that paradise. MSI has been looking into their returns and it seems that Linux powered netbooks are returned 4 times more often than XP units. Ouch! That is certainly enough for manufacturers to reconsider offering these Linux tasties.
It a bit of a shame really. I don't exactly hate Windows, I'm just sometimes bored of it. It would be nice to see Linux become far more mainstream so that we have more variety. Its obvious this isn't really a Linux problem, just people have a Windows comfort zone that just keeps Linux out of reach.
btw, don't tell Microsoft about this. Wouldn't want it going to their 800lb head!
