I am pretty excited at the thought of the first Android OS phone, of course I have to expect that there will probably bugs to iron out, as there always are in first generation devices but I am pretty excited by the fact that I may just be able to get my hands on a device by the end of the year. Some time ago I was saying how exciting it is at the moment, I mean, we have just had the release of the iPhone 3G, the Apps Store with all it's goodness and now with the Google Android OS to appear on phones such as the
rumored HTC Dream then I am really looking forward to an exciting Fall and Winter ahead. What will the pre Christmas sales bring us this year. Yes I know it's only August but I think and I certainly hope that it is going to prove an exciting few months. As for the Google Android do I think it will have an impact? Yes, I do, I do not think there will be any clear winner in terms of Palm OS, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Symbian and the Google Android OS and any other OS that I have left out. However I think the iPhone will continue to lead the way in terms of innovation and apps being sold. The iPhone is certainly leading the way in terms of innovation and enthusiasm but now that the 3G is a month old and the iPhone itself has been on sales for 14 or so month's will people begin to look at what other OS can offer them or does the iPhone offer most consumers everything they want? I, for one am happy, of course with my Centro and iPhone combination but the fact that I am looking forward to the Google Android powered phone means that at the very least I am curious. I hope that you are all having a great Tuesday, look out for a PATV from me very soon.
