As I mentioned a couple of days ago, my wife recently bought a Sony Ericsson W350i. Well, during the cellphone transition, she found out that some of her text messages (SMS) and contacts are missing. They are actually not missing, but they are just not saved into her SIM card, but on the phone memory of her old cellphone, Sony Ericsson Z200. The problem is that her SIM card memory seems full, so that she cannot save those messages and contacts into her SIM card. I believe she can accomplish this *problem* by moving some of her messages and contacts from her SIM card to the phone memory of the new cellphone, then moving the messages and contacts from her old cellphone to the SIM card. But since she is yet to master the cellphone, and I am not familiar with her new cellphone yet, and that I figure it will be nicer to have a backup first, I utilize my O2 Xda IIi PDA Phone to help with the transition. By utilizing "Contacts", "SIM Manager", and PIM Backup (Note: Several months ago I post about PIM Backup here on PalmAddicts) on my mobile devices, I make a backup copy of her contacts (her messages on the SIM Card are not visible on the device unfortunately). In the end we managed to move the messages and contacts either to her SIM Card or to the phone memory of the new cellphone. I'll find some time soon to learn more about the new cellphone during my busy schedule these days. I am sure the software provided in the CD will have backup and synch utility. Now if only they can run on Linux. Oh well, can't get everything, can we? :-P
