Mark Belliveau] NormSoft, Inc. today announced the availability of Mecrets™ its first ever iPhone™ and iPod® touch application. Mecrets lets users safely store and access confidential information such as passwords, account numbers, and personal identification numbers using their iPhone or iPod touch. Users can have their private information with them when they need it, while keeping it safe from being compromised by others.
Mecrets features a unique touch lock interface that lets owners access their stored items intuitively by dialing in a personal combination using the multi-touch display on their iPhone or iPod touch. It's just like using a standard combination lock. They can also create any private password using the standard iPhone keyboard if they prefer.
“We are very excited about developing for the new iPhone and iPod touch devices,” said Tim Norman, Founder of NormSoft. “Its unique hardware and software capabilities allowed us to create the touch lock interface in Mecrets that previously was not possible on other mobile devices.”
Using state of the art 256-bit AES encryption, Mecrets keeps stored information safe and secure. Stored items can optionally include URLs for login web pages which can be launched within Mecrets, offering the ability to easily insert a stored password where it’s needed without remembering and retyping it. Other features include the ability to store personal notes, generate random passwords for new accounts, and organize items in logical groups for quick and easy access.
Mecrets can be
purchased from the iPhone’s App Store using iTunes®, an iPhone, or an iPod touch -
