How's the Sydney Apple Store goin' mate? ;-D
Sorry 'bout the "mate" sayin' there, cuz I've been wanting to say that whenever my friends who came home from Australia; taught me to speak in Australian tone. But I guess, a quick 15 minutes lesson was never good enough. ~LOL~
But anyway, you do remember the gorgeous Sydney Apple Store I once told you about before right? Ever wonder to see more inside of it, but never got the chance since you're not in vacation yet? Worry not, because Sailor Coruscant & thegareth have uploaded their photo shots at flickr for us to see. And now I'll gather some of them for you, my dear PalmAddict readers to see.
Usually the first person you'll encounter when you open and enter through the main gateway, is the door-man/woman; or in my hometown here is a security guard with his squinty eyes looking on you. ;-p But seems like at the just opened Sydney Apple Store, there are Apple staffs in light-blue colored shirt that greet you with the most unconventional way to do it. Stroll down to see what I mean by that:
thegareth (left pic): They whooped. They cheered. They spontaneously posed for photos when they noticed you snapping away.
Sailor Coruscant (right pic): One is greeted by cheering, whooping, very scary (but very friendly) staff, who bounce and offer high-fives all around and giving out the little boxes that you see some of them holding. Yes, even the freebie tshirt is an out-of-box experience. The reason you're not seeing these dudes interacting with the public is because they had to limit the rate at which people came in so that it wasn't too too crowded. So they would muck about and play with the people already in the store.
Sailor Coruscant (right pic): All that brushed steel and shiny plate glass makes for wonderful reflections, with the bright lights hiding the world away from you.
Sailor Coruscant (left pic): I liked this: they had a couple of iMacs set up with little poofs for kids to sit on and play. Most of them were running Lego Star Wars II, which I heartily approve of. Also, their parents are lucky, as by the time the kids grow into their tshirts they will no longer remember they ever existed.
Sailor Coruscant (right pic): If you worked for Apple, you too could wear an awesome hat.
Sailor Coruscant (left pic): Everyone was taking photos of the stairs. They were so nice and glowy and warm, you never wanted to leave them. There was also an employee whose job it was to just stand around and sweep/mop the stairs of all the dampness from people's shoes after standing in the rain.
thegareth (left pic): Stack of two sets no less.
