What an exciting time to be looking for a new phone! In our family, we usually just take an educated leap when it comes to technology. We don't put off a tech purchase because something bigger and better is coming out in the next quarter. There's always something bigger and better coming out the next quarter. We've followed this pattern faithfully until now.
Can you hear that distant roar? That's the oncoming freight train of Google's Android-powered phone, due to release . . .soon?
My wife is doing anything she can to keep her Treo 650 alive, refusing to swap it out for anything in the Palm family or make the leap to an iPhone.
As she points out, considering her use habits, an iPhone would be leap backward--crippled bluetooth means no "real" keyboard, can't use it as a modem for the laptop, etc. Loves the UI, but also loves the innovation that Apple has forced other companies to develop as they compete with Apple. And we still love the Zen and simplicity of Palm, and are both anxious to see what the next iteration of that OS is going to bring.
My friends, we live in interesting times!
