[From Drew Riddle, SMSgt, USAF (Ret)] I made the mistake during December and let my wife entice me with a new Lifedrive if I gave her my T/X. So, I quickly made the swap, and quickly learned I made a big mistake. My Palm is my life! I love quickly scheduling my daily tasks; journaling notes at work; using Google Maps (really nice!); playing music, and have immediate access to all of my Word, Excel, PDF, and PowerPoint dcouments and regulatory manuals. With my T/X, it was always just a second away - not so with the Lifedrive.
My Lifedrive was slow - always pausing as it accessed the hardrive. My writing would pause between letters, my songs would often have pauses, applications took longer to access, and if there was a reset, which I had lots, it took 5-6 minutes to recycle. Additionally, I was always afraid to use the thing because the battery would drain so quickly.
Well, I took the Lifedrive back. I would rather use my Cingular 8125 Pocket PC than stick with the hassles of the lifedrive. Fortunately, my wife isn't as big of gadget person as I am and offered me my T/X back. Life is once again great! I'm convinced that the T/X with a high-storage SD card is simply the best tool available, and connecting it through my 3G Cingular LG CU500 phone gives me all the connectivity I could ever want!
