I know that this is a little off target for the site but I know a lot of you are like me and love to see what toys will be around in the future.
Sony’s UX series of UMPC seems to heading for the European shores. JkOnTheRun reports the UK publication Stuff Magazine has information regarding the next UX. The Sony UX1XN will be the first UX to use the Intel Core Solo 1500 (1.33Ghz) which improves on the Core Solo 1400 (1.20Ghz) and 1300 (1.06Ghz) used in the previous models. Apart from the processor the new UX will be similar to the full spec UX90s, 1Gb of RAM, 32Gb solid state disk (SSD), 4.5” X-bright touch widescreen with 1024 x 600 resolution, thumbstick, thumboard, Biometric scanner, 640 x 480 front and 1.3 mega pixel rear cameras, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, 1 x USB 2.0, CF and Sony MS Duo readers all on the unit. You also get an adapter dongle and cradle which both attach to the bottom of the UX. The cradle supplies 3 more USB ports, VGA, video out, Ethernet and Firewire. The adapter gives only Ethernet, VGA and video out.
