[From David Choung] Another good website to keep an eye on is Beamtest which is a blog covering Palm OS thoughts and well worth taking a read. "Missing Sync is probably the best software application for syncing up your Palm OS device with a Mac, yes it's better than Palm's own software, by leaps and bounds. After having acquired the Treo 680 I wanted to be able to sync it with my Mac, so I decided to do a clean reinstall of all Palm-related software. As I moved all Palm apps to the Trash Bin I ran into a problem, apparently it couldn't delete the Palm files because of some random 'localized.rsrc' file that was supposedly being used." Beamtest is worth taking a read and again I'll be adding to the links list.
Sprint and WiMax: Are these guys serious? Is an interesting editorial over at Mobile Opportunity. "Yes, I know Sprint's serious about WiMax -- it's spending more than $2.5 billion to build out a mobile WiMax network across the US. That's old news. The surprise to me is the business model Sprint says it'll deploy on that network. That hasn't gotten much coverage at all, but I think it's critically important. If you believe what Sprint says, its WiMax network will be totally open: any device, any application, without any contract required."
Always interesting to read Treonauts perspective on the Treo 750 and the site lays down the facts. "Separately, the new compact design of the Treo 750 features an internal antenna, soft-touch finish, and contoured edges to make it comfortable in the hand. Like all Treo smartphones, the 750 also has a full QWERTY keyboard for easy messaging, a 1.3-megapixel camera, a bright 240x240 touch screen and support for Bluetooth stereo headsets. The built-in 60MB of user-available storage can be enhanced by using the miniSD slot to add memory cards of up to 2GB – great for storing data, photos, music and video."
