Having sold some stuff on ebay over the past couple of months and built up a wee bit of credit on paypal I decided to splash out on a new gadget. I wasn't exactly sure what to get but I knew it would have to be a palm based pda...not because I'm not happy with my palm TX, far from it, but rather because I'm an insatiable gadgett freak and it's been a whole 8 months since I last bought a pda. I 'd read one or two good things about the Sony UX-50 so went searching on ebay and found a few for sale...and a few minutes later all that paypal credit was wiped out.
The UX50 has amazing specs which make it look untouchable on paper...wifi...bluetooth...camera...swivelling screen etc etc etc but it is a device from 2003 and the big question is...can it still cut the mustard more than halfway through 2006? I had a Sony pda a bit earlier this year and sold it on rather quickly as I found it clunky and slow so I am slightly apprehensive about my soon to arrive new toy, however I see from various other related recent postings that it has had pretty good reviews.
