For the past few weeks I have been reading about how some people that used Palm's trade-in program to trade in their handheld when they purchase a Treo from the Palm store. I read some pretty discouraging stories, one person was told that they would not get their Treo 650 returned to them after sending it in, someone else only received a $150 coupon to the Palm store towards a purchase. I followed PJ Arts' practice of going straight to the source to get an answer. I politely called Palm and inquired about my trade-in, and how I had sent my Treo 650 in June for the trade-in and received an email that my check would be going out withing 30 days. This never happened. Reading people's posts got me scared, so I called Palm and they said they would look into it. I told them about the stories I read, and that I am the Editor of my own site, and write for PalmAddict and something just didn't seem right. I told the representative that I have dealt with Palm before and they have always been so helpful. This happened on Monday, I received an email from Palm this morning that they looked into my situation and contacted the company and a check was mailed and I'd receive it soon. After work I opened my mail and there was the check for $150 as promised. I'd like to thank Palm for being so great with helping me. I'd also like to thank PJ Arts, if you want to know the right answer go to the source. Lesson learned.
