I was working on trying to perform a wifi hotsync and I noticed a strange note in the Palm Desktop software. I have downloaded the latest version 4.1.4e and as I was configuring my wifi hotsync I saw this
NOTE: This option not available to users with handhelds running Palm OS Cobalt.
What's this??? Handhelds running Palm OS Cobalt. I thought Cobalt wasn't going to be used by Palm (setting aside Access's comments on Cobalt). I think this is strange to leave this note in the software unless it is by mistake or something like that. Or maybe it means there will be a palm device running Palm OS Cobalt this fall or maybe the update to the lifedrive will be Cobalt.... ok, ok, that would be to good to be true.
BTW to see this note, right click on your system tray hotsync icon. Select "setup". A window opens with several tabs. Look for the network tab. Click on it. You should see the note just above your users name. Again I have installed the latest version of Palm Desktop and I have been to the network tab before and had not noticed any notes like this. Maybe, just maybe a Palm OS Cobalt device is coming?!
