I caved in last night and ordered the new apple "mighty mouse". I love apple's designs, and the way they get things done. I mean it was the interface alone of my ipod mini that made me switch to Mac in the first place. I thought if the user interface is so intuitive on this ipod, I can’t imagine what their computers are like. I feel the same way about palm’s user interface. Also working as a Windows Network Specialist I appreciate my powerbook much more. I have wanted a 2-button mouse since I "switched". I know this seems off palm topic in a way, but there are endless similarities. I really see so many coincidences in both companies. They both are very good at getting things done in an intuitive and simplistic way, both have cool hardware, and things just work. They are both the "David’s" in "David and Goliath" up against Microsoft. Both still have a loyal and prosperous community. They have both seen their market share begin to be taken over by Goliath, I mean Microsoft. My point is that just because we might see certain market share numbers, the twice a year quote "palm is dead, for real this time" on various websites, remember much of these things Apple heard for years, and look where they are today. You should stick with what works for you, not the numbers you read from analysts, the headlines from news sites, market share, etc. I am very pleased with my two choices (my Treo 650 & Powerbook). Yeah I know they’re not running the OS with most market share, but what works for me is more important. Like I said before, choose what works.
