"Yes, the optical trackpad is a nice departure from BlackBerry's usual trackball, and when it comes to email the myriad of menus give way to single clicks, but this is a BlackBerry device so you'd expect it to get email right. It's the interaction between apps and device where things start to fall apart and where RIM still has a lot of catching up to do with Apple." Read in full.

- The Wired takes a look at one of the great gadget debates iPhone vs. Blackberry

- The Blackberry Developer Conference registration is now open. "Register now for this must-attend conference! Take advantage of the $200 Early Bird savings by registering before September 18, 2009. Better yet, if you attended last year’s BlackBerry Developer Conference or WES 2009, you’ll also get an additional $100 Alumni Discount. That’s a total of $300 in savings!" Read in full.

Good morning and welcome to Wednesday, here are some quickies that have either been sent into me or that I have spotted myself. As usual my picture is taken of the Empire Stet Building from The High Line of New York of which I am a proud patron and taken with my iPhone. Thanks to Hans, Tobias Kemper and Eric Mann for today's links.

- Android version of Nimbuzz has been released. Nimbuzz is a multi community mobile social messenger combining Instant Messaging, (geo) presence, and VoIP. The free application lets users connect and interact with their buddies across popular communities, including Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, ICQ, Google Talk (Orkut), AIM, and social networks including Facebook and MySpace.

- The Gizmodo reviews the T-Mobile HTC Touch Pro2. " A respectable swan song for Windows Mobile 6.1, the Touch Pro2 would be a safe recommendation for diehard Windows Mobile fans, and a cautious "consider it" for business-oriented smartphone shoppers, assuming it was priced at $200 or less. It costs nearly twice that much."

- The Zune HD will be launched on September 15th.
