Macrumors reports that Boxee, the media player will be unveiling a new iPad app at this year's CES show.
"Boxee, the start-up company that develops media center software for multiple platforms, provided a sneak peek at its upcoming iPad app at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show this week. The iPad app will allow users to view videos on the go and send content to a Boxee device. Also, it allows users to stream a video directly from their Mac or PC in a variety of formats including those that aren't natively supported on the iPad. It accomplishes this through Boxee media server software running on the computer that automatically transcodes video to the iPad."
In my opinion, This could be interesting and bring a little competition to the AppleTV/iPad combo. But The folks in Cupertino clearly have a nice head start. Stay tuned.
Ever since I got my hands on my iPad, I felt like something was missing. Their were times that I wished I could use a stylus and handwriting recognition like I used to on my old Apple Newton Messagepad 2l00. Finally with the combination of my Boxwave Stylus and WritePad App I have a simple way to write with my iPad. The stylus glides on the iPad screen and the small lanyard plugs into the headphone jack so it is always handy. WritePad picks up where Newton left off with reliable recognition that is surprisingly accurate. While it might not be for everyone, I love it for writing short notes, drafting email or even writing this post.
The folks over at
Greetings fellow PalmAddicts and hello Sammy. (Hope you're enjoying Spain) Back in the states here, I found myself called up to serve my civic responsibility and report to jury duty. For those outside the U.S. or who have never been before it isn't as glamourous as it seems in the movie on TV. It's mostly a lot of waiting around. That's where my Treo 700p came in. Today I used it to keep up with my personal and work email, finish off an ebook, write a few letters I had been putting off, use Mundu IM to chat with some friends during break, check out what's new on Digg, and use TCPMP to watch several episodes of quarterlife I downloaded. All this and I still didn't end up being selected. I saw plenty of Blackberries and a couple of iPhones which I'm sure were being used just a heavily. All-in-all i would have NEVER survived the experience without my Treo.
