[From Stephen Trew] Breaking news: Decision on WebOS future expected. My guess is they will write off the losses and put WebOS up for sale. "In an interview with French newspaper Le Figaro, Meg Whitman teased a decision about the fate of webOS once again: this time she says there should be a verdict in two weeks. Early this month she said a decision would be made "in the next three to four weeks," so this gives her a bit more breathing room."

Let's hope they can get on track and bring some confidence to their customers. "New details are emerging today about HP's plans for Autonomy, nearly two months after Whitman & Co. purchased the software-maker for a cool $10.4 billion. In an interview with ZDNet UK, Autonomy chief executive Mike Lynch said his company's search, data analysis and AR technologies will be integrated within a range of HP products, including its printers, servers and storage unit, and its consumer-focused Personal Systems Group, which handles phones, tablets and PCs."
