For $150 we can't really knock the build quality of this thing, but we do have to say the $199 Archos 7 Home Tablet feels a lot sturdier and is also a bit thinner. Stacks Pro for the iPhone/iTouch

Pros: 

Clean interface
Comes with a plethora of decks covering a myriad of topics
Card creationg via web app works seamlessly

Cons:

For best results, one sentence content limitation for either side of the "card"
Substantial screen real estate ends up unused to accommodate word limitation
No sounds embedded or "iPod Accessible" to enable background music to play while studying
Cannot make edits to content within the app
Can't delete bundled decks (most of which are not needed for my line of work)

For those of my readers with jailbroken ipads and want to run Apple Dashboard widgets well take a look at this because it's pretty awesome. " Listening to an all-star podcast interview which involved iPhone devs like Comex, Planetbeing, Chpwn and iH8sn0w who are working on jailbreak and unlock scene, there was this question which the hosts asked the devs about when is the iPhone 4 and iOS 4.x jailbreak is expected to be out. While no specific release date was given, they did said that jailbreak is “pretty close to done”. They are now waiting for Saurik (creator of Cydia) to fix couple of loose ends before it is released. iPhone 4 unlock on the other hand is 100 percent done and is waiting for jailbreak to be released."

Giving away a iBook G4 if anyone wants it.

OK so I promised a quick throwaway and this one I'm keeping open until Friday midnight US PT. It's a white iBook Mac running OSX and it's a couple of years old and runs fine without any problems obviously plays DVD's, has wifi and Bluetooth. I'll throw in a iSight camera to go with it too.

Sammy's Diary - Friday mobile thoughts

So what's new with my mobile devices today? Well I've been tracking a flight on my iPad, a friend of mine is flying to Brazil and so I have been following how her flight has been doing from my iPad. I'll know when she lands so I can be assured that she got there ok. I had a raft of emails that I need to respond to so I managed to type some of the replies when I was in bed last night and finished them off this morning, replying of course from my iPad. I also have some website changes to do for a company that I do PR for so Im kissing the changes, again on iPad so that I can send to the Internet company to implement. I can also check the draft of the new pages and see how they will look, again using my iPad. Apart from checking my social network sites such as Facebook, Twitter etc, I'll also finish off some ghostwriting that I needed to do, send them off to publications, check a proof of an article that will appear over the weekend and speak to a contact over Skype, again all of this is done on my iPad. It's amazing just how much good use I get out if this little device.

"Research In Motion Ltd., maker of the BlackBerry smartphone, plans to introduce a tablet computer in November to compete with Apple Inc’s iPad, according to two people familiar with the company’s plans. The device will have roughly the same dimensions as the iPad, which is a 9.7-inch diagonal screen, said the two people who wouldn’t be identified because the plans haven’t been made public. The device will include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless technology that will allow people to use their BlackBerry smartphones to connect to the Internet, the two people said. "
