Ping for the iPhone / iPod Touch is awesome, simply, my favourite app for the iPhone to date because it's functionality. In the meantime Gary, the developer says that there some updates on the way. I can't see how this app gets any better. Details after the jump.

Just Another Mobile Monday takes a quick look at SPB Mobile Shell 3.5 for Windows Mobile Professional. "I’ve been fortunate enough to have been running the Windows Mobile UI replacement for the last couple of days on one of my phones, and while the new version has seen a bump up to 11 MB in size, SPB Mobile Shell 3.5 handles resources beautifully. [From Eric Mann] Apparently Mac Desktop for Blackberry is now rumoured to go live on Friday. On October 2 RIM will release BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac, specifically at 1:00pm EST. The Engadget for the deets.
[From Eric Mann] Strategy Eye reports that 90% of US iPhones users love their phones. "About 92% of US iPhone users say the device is their ideal smartphone, and 90% would recommend it to others, according to CFI Group. In a survey of 1,000 smartphone users, the iPhone scored an average of 83 on a 100-point satisfaction scale, 8% higher than its nearest rivals Android and the Palm Pre, which scored 77.
Smartphones popular among business users trailed in the survey, with Research In Motion's BlackBerry range scoring 73 and Palm's Treo hitting 70. A category including Symbian and Windows Mobile devices scored 66." Read in full.
