Why bother with a Kindle?
Most of us are always looking for ways to increase out productivity: check our emails while waiting in queue, edit a report while riding the bus, update our calender and schedule while waiting at the dentist's office. I find my Centro to be excellent for increasing my efficency due to the fact that it is so small compared to my previous PDAs (including my beloved T|T3) that I always have it with me. I didn't always have my T|3 on my person every time I walked out the door. Often I figured I'd be gone for just a few minutes only to be stuck somewhere for 30-40 minutes with just my "dumb phone." I do prefer to read traditional paper books when I can but if I find myself waiting or sitting for more than 10 minutes I take out my Palm and start reading. Well, what I have found myself doing lately is borrowing or buying a paper book and then download the ebook from either the local library or the huge NewYork Public Library or Queensborough Public Library systems. I'll read the physical book at home but then if I am out and got some time I'll pick up where I left off on my Centro. It was a really great way to read Brisingr by Chris Paolini. I just don't think other separate devices, such as the Kindle, can offer that kind of "sponatneous productivity."
