[From Thom Brown] Strange thought I know, but my girlfriend is jealous of my Palm Treo 650. It was given to me by a friend, not as a phone but as a general PDA and mini computer. And now she claims I spend more time with the Treo than with her.
I've got it configured for eBook reading, Games, Videos, Geocaching, Alarm Clock, MP3 Player, and many other things. On the bus, on a walk, gardening, cooking, Geocaching, Any place any time. It was easy for her to suggest that since I was spending most of my time with the Treo, it could be considered my girlfriend instead of her.
At first my girlfriend was angry because of all the time I'd spent with my Treo. Hmm, in this case I don't think I will call it a Palm. How can she be jealous over an inanimate object I kept wondering. She is, or was jealous, I found how to make her less jealous of it. I'd spent a lot of time showing her some things that it can do. Loaded a couple or Robin Cook books, one of her favorite authors. The first time she said she liked "Robin Cook Books" I was confused thinking there might be some cook books that delt with cooking red birds. I showed her a dictionary (MS-Dict), and how I can use Path A Way software as a pocket map, or for Geocaching. She understands now why I keep it around with me at all times.
I've made my girlfriend understand the attraction of the Palm Treo, she uses the Treo these days as her own PDA. Now I'm jealous of the my own Treo because it's spending more quality time with her than I do.
