I received the Proporta case for the PSP 3000 for review and I must say my Son was excited and thought it was neat that the case is much better than He thought! He loves the smell of rich leather (don’t we all!J) and the fit to His new game system is perfect. The case screws unto the device by a small flap with the screws attached (called a C-Clip by Proporta). This gave us security from the start knowing that the case will always be attached.
The case provides access to all ports and my Son likes that it can be flipped out of the way and even attached inside out with the magnetic strap so that He can hold it comfortably while watching UMD movies. The magnetic strap itself provides a strong clasp to the case and I am in no worry of it detaching if the device happened to fall or be dropped accidentally. The case is also made with Proporta’s famous Alu-Leather design in which it features their trademark ‘Screen Saver System’ which uses a sheet of rigid, lightweight aircraft grade aluminium to line the case and thereby protecting the device from screen damage, crushing or impact shocks. The overall quality and look and feel of this case is superb. The inside of the case has two storage pockets for extra memory sticks if you should need any (extra movies, music and games on a vacation or road trip). My Son would have liked the case to hold UMD disks, but I added that it would only be able to hold two discs max and would bulk it up too much. He agreed.
This case should definitely be considered for those of you thinking of a PSP for you or family especially during the Holiday season. It is a case that stands above a lot of cheaper imitations and has a truly classy style. If this PSP case is anything like my Book Type TX case, and it pretty much is, I can be sure it will definitely protect my Son’s game device as well as it has my TX over the last few years. I, and my Son, rate this case at five stars!
