Kids and Portable Entertainment

[From Joe Baughman] Hello Sammy, thanks as always for the wonderful site. I can always seem to find something fresh and new to feed my Palm addiction. Vacation got me to thinking about Portable Entertainment today. We had minimal ways to entertain ourselves for travel when I was growing up but now it is amazing! Palms for eBooks, audio books, music, and Games. iPods and PSPs for music, games, and audio books. Nintendo DS for games. Cellular phones for texting and chatting. And yet I am almost sure I will hear one of the kid say the dreaded "I'm bored" :) Electronic entertainment sure has come a long ways in a fairly short time. I look forward to seeing what the future holds. In my last post I mentioned some things about eReading but I did forget to mention one big advantage to the Palm when reading is that you can do it in the dark. eReader makes it easy to change the settings to make reading easy on the eyes during a long car ride at night...
