enhancing Bible study

[From Jon Glass] I had a fun experience with my Treo this past Sunday that I was just looking for an excuse to share. :-) I preached in the morning service on the parable of the Wheat and the Tares. I'm preaching, of course, in Polish, and the polish word for "tares" is similar to the English one in that nobody really knows what it means. :-) After the service, we were discussing what kind of plant it was, so I pulled out my Treo, launched PalmBible+ and started a quick word search. I finally got the English name for the weed that was most likely the one Christ was talking about (the bearded darnell), and looked up pictures of it with Blazer on Google Images. I also was able to look up the Polish name using the Lingvosoft English-Polish dictionary, and everybody was able to see exactly what plant Christ meant, and everybody was amazed at how similar it looked to wheat on first glance, yet, at the same time, was quite different. The weed is not common in Poland, but an elderly lady (over 80) recognized it from her childhood. I suppose it doesn't help that we live in a very large city. ;-) In any case, after we were all done, that same elderly lady praised my Treo and its multi-faceted usefulness. She was glad I have it, and was able to use it to help her understand the Bible better. I know that there are "technophobes" in this world, but our small fellowship certainly doesn't seem to have any!
