Opera Mini 9.5 has been delayed slightly

Operamini [From Hans] Opera Mini 9.5 has been delayed according to the Opera Blog. "Some things in life don't go according to plan -- at least not in software development. We knew when we announced a release date before we finished development that a showstopper bug might be found that could alter the actual date we release the beta. As you can imagine, we encountered a few bugs last week that we needed to fix before we launch. Our engineering team worked through the weekend to fix the bugs. Even though our release is a beta, we'd rather spend the extra time to fix them, thus giving you a better experience. The fixes are almost complete now, but we need two more days to run the build through our quality assurance testing. The new launch date is now set for the 17th." Thanks Hans for the heads up.

Apple Doesn't Have a Problem With iPhone Cut and Paste, They Just Don't Care

Iphonecopypaste [From Hans] Apple says copy and paste is not big on the iPhone priority list just at the moment. Please Apple do take a look at the problem. "In an interview with Extreme Tech, Apple product head Greg Joswiak explained the lack of cut and paste in the iPhone: it's just not a priority right now. He says Apple worked its way as far down its "priority list" of features for firmware 2.0, but just not far enough to reach cut and paste." More deets.

My Treo 680 and my brandnew degree...

Treo 680 for palmaddictsMan, I really missed a lot posting on palmaddicts, for the past couple of weeks I've been unable to post... but I'm back!
As I was saying, I've been busy at school, not only was end of semester but my last semestwr at UNAM. It is kind of sad but is time to move on, a lot of effort has been involved to achieve my economist degree, but I have to admit that my Treo and other palm devices had aid me a lot.
For achieving my degree, my disertation was requiered. I delivered a week ago and my Treo aid me more than ever. Let me share with you how my treo was so helpful...
Firts of all, I setup my Treo to remind me everyday to write or correct at least 20 pages or 8 hrs, I get distracted easily. Also my smartphone  was so helpful as a reading device, I cannot count how many docs and websites I downloaded and read on my Treo, all that with the aid of docs to go, isilo and PalmPDF.
After attending at school and working all day, I ended everyday so tired, everyday my Treo woke me and never got late.
A lot of my research were made on old fashion books, not digital ones, i that case I used the voice recorder for quick notes on the library or the point an idea for later use... it was so useful.

The cherry on top of the cake of my troubles were when my PC stop working real bad... not windows but the mainboard. I became an urgent pc user without one for a few days, mean while, my Treo did the trick because I had with me all my important files with me, all the time.

My Treo 680 helped me a lot for keeping on schedule and now I'm glad to say that is finally over, only my professional exam is in the near future after vacations; meanwhile It is time for getting a job... I hope my Treo will help me find and developing on work. I hope to find a job soon... wish me luck!

The iPhone Alley reports that Apple corrects screen color in new firmware update

Screendefect The iPhone Alley reports that Apple corrects screen color in new firmware update. "Remember how we've been talking about the new iPhone 3Gs having a slightly more yellowish tint? Apple has claimed that it was a design decision to make the viewing experience slightly more natural, and was better suited for viewing of photos. Well, it seems that the difference wasn't as subtle as they had hoped, and customers and bloggers picked up on the change. To fix this, Apple has released a new version of the iPhone firmware to cool the screen's color down a bit. " Read in full.
