[From Lourdes Villegas from Bolivia] Finally WiMax was made available in this side of the world, and I am one of the early adopters.....
Even though I don't have a PDA-like WiMax enabled device, I currently surf on the IEEE 802.16 standard using one USB dongle and my laptop, and is really cool to be connected to highspeed network almost everywhere. I don't need to be depending on the Public Library's WiFi anymore and my "wardriving" days are over, in the case they ever existed.
This reminds me of the crazy rumors about the Foleo coming back with WiMax!, although everything threatens to come WiMax-ified lately.
What I'd love to put my hands on, is on the Eee PC 901 and the inexpensive Atom chip, and of course with the integrated WiMax chip, oh that is a sweet little device.
