Keene NH, USA] Hi Sammy! Congratulations on the site's 9th birthday and here's hoping for many more! I stop by and take a peek at the site almost every day and appreciate the site more now that so many of the others seem to be shifting away from covering Palm news and info. Thank you!
One of the things I use my Palm for is at work to support my clients' computer and network systems. I can keep lists of machines, user accounts, passwords and other important information (all encrypted and password protected, of course). I can also keep documentation or reference material handy in text or .doc files or PDFs and have access to them wherever I am and whenever they're needed. With access to a wireless network or, should the option ever become possible here in the USA, a cell phone with Bluetooth and a data plan, I can connect into systems for management or troubleshooting. With my Palm, I can use telnet, SSH, VNC, and remote desktop to connect to remote computers and (hopefully) fix things. I can test network connectivity with traceroute and ping as well. If I need to, I can look up information on the web for troubleshooting problems. Is it as easy, fast, or useful as my laptop or usual desktop machine at work? Well, no actually, but I can't put those in my pocket. I can and do keep my Palm there though. Just in case.....
