I am a graduating high school senior and I would like to say a few words regarding Apple and their growing market share. Today several classmates brought their Apple laptops to class to finish video editing for a project. In my following class several students had iPhones and on top of it all several hours later my friend called me saying he bought a new Macbook.
Apple has a growing market share because people automatically think their devices are hot and are must have items. But let's face reality here while it may be cool and hip; neither the iPhone nor the iPod are man's greatest inventions.
My fear is platforms like Openmoko and Android are going to be overshadowed by Apple. Both projects are very innovative and forward thinking, something that today's youth would enjoy using.
