[From Carolyn
Houston, Texas] Regarding the death of the Palm OS. This just adds to my confusion about the tech world in general. After my recent use of a Windows Mobile Smartphone and disappointment of that system it makes you wonder why a company, with the success and innovation that Palm had with it's handhelds, why they would abandon that OS in favor of manufacturing hardware in an already saturated market. I can understand, if they are branching into that hardware market, having phones with the Windows OS too but to completely abandon such an easy to use system for one with so many flaws? Not to mention the hundreds, probably thousands of programs that have been developed to run on the Palm OS. Who's in charge?
