I go to Starbucks for you - ATT/iPhone wireless

PaulsbadgeI am one of the few people in the US who doesn't like Starbucks coffee.  It always has sort of burnt taste to me. In any event, I read about free AT&T WiFi being available to iPhone users so I thought I would check it your for you and I braved some Starbucks coffee on your behalf. (In the future I'll have tea.)

Yes, it's true.  I can get free WiFi at my local Starbucks.  My shop is in a pretty rural area so maybe it wasn't working because of this as the WiFi didn't automatically recognize my iPhone.  I had to tap on the AT&T icon to make a connection.  TMobile is still working at all the stores and you can choose which one you want.  When I did enter my phone number I connected to AT&T WiFi for free, but the connection took a long time to get established.  As I said, I'm out of the way, but it certainly seems that the service is working here, albeit slowly.  I would guess you would have no problems in a major city - and that is what I seem to be reading on my RSS feeds. Neat! I would never pay for WiFi so now I can go to Starbucks and have some tea, not coffee, and check my email.
