US-made disposable cell-phone in Europe

[From Morris Wonoate] A US-based gadget maker has released its Eur13 disposable cell-phone in Europe for mobile users, which has no features. An unidentified European distributor has placed an initial test purchase order of 10,000 phones from the US-based gadget maker Hop-on. The low-end GSM cell-phone with no LCD screen is trying to find its way to Europe. The president of Hop-on stated, "This is one of our biggest opportunities to actually have Hop-on become a household name in the US and throughout Europe. No one sells a new $20 GSM cell phone! We are also targeting the Middle East, Asia and India. Bottom line, most people just want to make a phone call. We will sell millions of these phones!" he claimed.
