Share SMS

While at work, I usually stay online with an instant messaging software. I use the software to communicate with my co-workers and friends. One of my contacts, who is a software trainer, happened to be online today, and on his instant messaging status he posted his new blog address. Just before lunch I took a break from work, and out of curiosity I visited his blog. On the top of his blog he told of another friend who received an SMS scam on his cellphone. Seeing that it will be the benefit for others, this guy forwarded the SMS to his relatives and friends, warning them about such scam. The blog post then continued to say that while it was fine and okay, the guy wished there was an easier way to share the SMS. The blog post then went on to tell about such a service. He put the link there, and so I visited the website.

In short description, the website offers free service (for Indonesians only) to post and share any SMS. It does not seem membership is even required. You just need to forward the SMS into a local cellphone number, and after about 5 minutes the SMS will be posted on the website. There will be a permanent link to the SMS. The website offers privacy that the cellphone numbers are not displayed fully.

I think this is a neat little concept.
