Jawbreaker
Quite often I encounter PC games that I wish some kind of ports exist for Pocket PC. Once in a while, however, it is the opposite: I encounter Pocket PC games that I wish, or at least I am curious to see their desktop counterparts available as well. One of such games is Jawbreaker.
According to the wikipedia article here, Jawbreaker is essentially a SameGame variant that comes bundled with Windows Mobile 2003SE. My O2 Xda IIi PDA Phone has it. That is how I actually got to know about the game. Before that I had never heard nor known such a game. It is just a quickie game, one you probably spend to kill some time, but a nice game nevertheless. So the other day I wondered if such a desktop counterpart exists. Well, Ubuntu Linux comes with Same GNOME, a variant of SameGame on Gnome Desktop Environment, pre-installed, but I was curious about Windows version. Thanks to the wikipedia article (link posted above), I discovered that it indeed exists, and as a freeware too.
So I gleefully downloaded the program. It bears striking resemblance with its Pocket PC counterpart. An excellent little game. Note that I can even run it well with Wine under Linux. Go ahead, try it!
