TX to the rescue

[From Peter Perez] Back in December, I submitted an article about how the T5 come to my rescue when my TX started to have problems with the touch screen. I purchased the T5 on eBay and used it until the TX was repaired.
I then came to enjoy the T5 because it gave me everything the TX had plus the extra memory and faster processor. The only thing I missed from the TX was the brighter screen. I never really used the Wi-Fi feature on the TX.
Well, once the TX was repaired I placed it in a desk drawer and forgot about it. Two weeks ago my friend started to have problems with his TX. It seemed to keep freezing up until finally no matter how many times he would do a hard rest it would not boot up. Now comes the sad part, the warranty with palm had expired and he had no way of getting the unit repaired without paying those high prices palm charges.
He did remember that he purchased it with his American Express card and he checked to see if he was covered under the buyer protection plan. Talk about his lucky day. American Express reviewed his claim and decided it was better for him to purchase a new TX then send it to palm for repair.
That is fine but what will he use until his new palm arrive. I remembered about my TX sitting in the drawer and offered it to him as a loaner until the new arrived.
He received his new TX and my TX went back into the desk drawer. Now if only palm would take the best features of both the TX and T5 and give us a new pda that I know would sell as fast as the iphone did.
