One of the big internet crazes of last year: the falling sand game, came to Palm a while ago.
There are two versions currently available on the internet. Version 1.00, which is freeware, and can be downloaded from here. The latest version, which was released a few weeks ago can be downloaded here; and while this version has a few more features, it will cost you £1.95 ($3.95).
At the moment the game is fairly simple, there are only two 'elements,' which are wall and... well, sand. The features are nowhere near as advanced as the ones that can be found on the desktop versions; however, it's a fun little game which will give the user some kind of zen in dropping pieces of virtual sand.
Overall, I think that even though the cost of the product is very low, it isn't quite worth paying for yet, i think it would be better to get the earlier freeware version of the game. However PalmSand is something to watch, it has a lot of potential, and a more developed version of this game would be a fantastic (if not indispensable!) Palm application.
Also, there is a Windows Mobile version of this game called 'Pocket Sand' which appears to be much more advanced than PalmSand; in fact, it's the kind of thing that makes me wish that I had a device running windows mobile... There are many more elements and the game is much more flexible. You can read more about it here.
