New Centro for Momma

[From Rusty] Well, I did it. Went to the ATT site and plunked down the ol’ credit card on a brand new Palm Centro for my wife. Her Razr is perfectly functional, but I promised her a new phone for Valentines day. So I did it. Now to get through the “this isn’t how I’m used to doing it” phase. I love my wife, but she is the most technophobic person I know. It took 3 months to train her on how to get the most out of her Razr Vxx. We don’t use it to access the web, (too expensive with ATT), but we do have unlimited text and SMS. This is a must with 6 grandkids, all doing different things.

Now I’m shopping for a skin (tinkerbell) and a clear case to show it off and a memory card and travel charger and screen protector……….the list is ongoing. So far, Amazon has all of these except the skin. Oh, and the MotoPure H12 bluetooth earpiece. So I’ve spent two hundred bucks (after the ATT Rebate) and have about 50 bucks to go.

I’ve still got my Tx, and now I download ringtones and Bluetooth them over to her. But although they show up and play in PTunes, they don’t show up in the ATT Phone application as available ringtones, nor in MiniTones. Still looking for a solution there, but if anyone has a suggestion I’d love to hear it.

I haven’t installed any programs except Astraware’s Sudoku, Solitaire and Bejeweled. The rest is still Stock, Basic and un-used. We are working on the phone application, trying to get ringtones assigned to people, and I accidently duplicated the address book from the SIM card, but hey, we are moving right along getting her addicted to her palm. I doubt she’ll ever post here, or even read this, but I do enough for both of us.
