One interesting use I've found for my Palm Z22 is teaching my 5-year-old twins English (we're Greek) and math through Flash Card apps. There are some quite good freeware versions out there; the joy you see on their faces when they successfully find the word or result is indescribable. Through a combination of playing rules (first to answer correctly wins, state x number of words beginning with the displayed letter, state x number of objects that relate in any way with the displayed pic etc.) I've managed to sustain and boost their curiosity and eagerness to play yet another round. These days it's difficult to end the session and I need to fake a low-battery situation just to persuade them that it's time for bed.
In a way, the little Palm Z22 has become a part of our playing/learning quality time and not just indoors; we play rounds in the backyard, playground, in the car while waiting for mommy get the groceries etc.
