One Ring to Rule Them All...well..one Phone # anyways...

[From Howard Beleiff] I noticed today that an Open Beta has been released via Blogger for GrandCentral.com! I was lucky enough to grab a closed beta invite for this new service a while back, and if you haven't heard about it, well, if you carry multiple phones, this service will set your cell-spirit free. My somewhat recently acquired Treo 755p left me with one small problem, namely my Verizon VX8500 (which was fun for about 20 minutes...now it gets little use except within my family network), which had an different number, of course. Enter GrandCentral, a service that allow you to collect all of your phones under one "roof", assign a new, LOCAL phone number and then assign your contacts to ring one, the other, or both phones at once! Brilliant! Tons of other features including voicemail on the web, and a call screening system that I love. They were recently acquired by google (smart move again goog!) and so you can check it out at www.Grandcentral.com or via your Google Blogger account. I think that even if they made the move to pay-per-service, I would have to hand them some of my hard-earned gold pieces.
