iPhone Buyers Were Mostly Treo Users, Claims Report

[From Eric Mann] Interesting fact this morning, "A new report from NPD claims that iPhone buyers were 10 times more likely to have previously owned a Palm Treo than any other phone, but that BlackBerry users were no more likely to have switched to the iPhone than other users. “The iPhone’s Internet and media capabilities have resonated with consumers -- especially those who previously owned Treos and Sidekicks,” claims report author Ross Rubin. He also speculates that the seeming lack of enthusiasm for the iPhone amongst BlackBerry users is because the iPhone does not currently offer the same level of corporate email support that BlackBerry devices do; there is no easy way to connect an iPhone to an Exchange mail server, for instance.
