First of all, I'd like to give a big thanks to Iambic for giving PalmAddict Associate Writers a sneak peek at YourCall2.0 complete with a demo. This opportunity gave us a chance to play with software that hadn't been released yet and provide our honest opinion about it. Oh, and one other quick plug...I still love Agendus, especially since I can now manage projects! Onto the review...
I experienced YourCall 1.0 a while back and thought that it was an interesting program, but I really didn't need it since the only two people I talked on the phone was my wife and my mom. Now, things have changed. I have a new job that requires a lot of communication between a lot of different departments and the combination of YourCall and CallRec is simply outstanding. I think the best part of 2.0 is the added in-call options. Yes, we are all capable of twiddling our thumbs and coming up with the same result, but YourCall makes it so much simpler and immediate...and who doesn't like fast and easy? YourCall 2.0 takes some our most commonly used actions either during or after a call and puts them right there at our fingertips so that we don't forget. After all, that why we have these devices, so we don't forget to...hmm, who was I supposed to call again, and when did we schedule that meeting? I knew I should have put it down while I was on the phone. I'm not going to go through all the features, because the other writers have done an excellent job doing that and Iambic's site does a great job of laying it all out for you. The last feature that I want to touch on is that pre-call options. Whoa, wait Scott, you just said that YourCall 2.0 handles in-call and post-call options. Yes, but it can also take care of calls that you don't want to deal with by diverting them to voicemail, log the call as meeting, etc. Try out YourCall for yourself, Iambic is so sure you're going to love it they're offering a free trial. What have you got to lose?
