For all of us who are Palm Addicts being a Palm Addict is a perfectly normal state of affairs but many of us have wonderfully tolerant non-Palm Addict partners; who smile indulgently at us when we start eulogizing about the wonders and benefits of our Palms.
Our partner’s voices usually go unheard on the site so my wonderful and very tolerant girlfriend has written us a few lines about what her life is like with a Palm Addict and I thought it would be good to share them with everyone:
“Those of you who are regular users of this site will have read the odd article written by my significant other Alastair Moore who is only too fond of all things Palm. I on the other hand am a little techno phobic and more of a Windows girl myself, I can’t say I have anything against the Palm devices but they have become the other women in my relationship and are therefore not really given a fair chance. Alastair not only has a 650, he has now purchased a 680 “for work” and frequently spends time messing with his PC called Darth who recently rejected his advances towards Vista after feeling a little forgotten himself. Towards the end of last year Alastair bought me a new phone (the new Vario) and I to have found myself reliant on my new house brick. We have debated on which one is best (Vario vs Treo 650) and have never managed to complete the debate because I don’t really understand what it is that he is referring to and he will not deviate from his first love or the global community he has become a part of. But as they say, every cloud has a silver lining, once Alastair makes his purchases; he goes though a phase of guilt resulting in gifts for me. The moral of the story being, I believe the secret to a successful relationship is the Palm and all the added extra’s you can get for it, after all I love my white gold and diamond necklace, oh and my Vario.”
