Palm OS Celebrates Its Eleventh Birthday

The Palm OS is eleven years old today. On January 28, 1996, Jeff Hawkins and Ed Cooligan officially introduced the very first Pilot on stage at Demo '96.
For Ed Hardy's report on Palm's eighth birthday on Brighthand three years ago, today click on the link, and see what's changed in the Palm world since then.
I am adding a reminder that 2007 is the year that Jeff Hawkins has predicted the appearance of Palm's "third business." In my dreams, it would be the PDA component, in a new wide screen video iPod, with an iPhone smart touch interface, announced on Super Bowl Sunday, a week from today.
Hope springs eternal!
