Getting your Palm to sync Palm Bible software notes with the desktop

[From joninkrakow] Forgive me for taking so long to comment on this topic, but I've thought about the lack on the Palm (syncing Palm Bible software notes with the desktop), and have been able to think of one "hack" work-around. Only problem is that I haven't had an occasion yet to see how well it would work in action, so I have hesitated to post it here. However, time is moving on...
Sadly, since I'm a Mac geek, I cannot offer help to you Windows-using blokes, but I'm sure there is something comparable to the Mac software I will mention, just try Versiontracker.com to find something.
First off, software to use:
Palm:
1. Palm Bible+
Why PB+ Well, its notes-taking is _very_ weak, but it has one wonderful feature--export to Memopad.
2. Memopad
3. If you want to extort to a text file, you will want something like Cardtext--but it's not essential.
Macintosh:
1. Palm Desktop
2. If you opt to create text files, TextEdit
3. either
a. DevonThink or DevonNote (http://www.devon-technologies.com/)
b. MacJournal (http://homepage.mac.com/dschimpf/)
c. Some other text-grabbing, journaling software. There are several products on the Mac that are useful for journaling and offer the ability, through the Apple Services menu, to grab selected text in any application, and paste it into your journal. The Apple Services menu exists in every application's Application folder, but only Cocoa apps, and Carbon apps written to work with Services will have access to it. We are fortunate in that the Palm Desktop _does_ work with the Services menu!
Now, on the Palm, in your Memos, app, you want to create a new category, if you don't already have one, for your Bible notes. Make sure it's the active category when you export from Palm Bible +
Now, in PB+, write your study note. I always write the starting reference at the top of the note. If I reference multiple verses, I will add those references alone on a line so I know it's a "new" note. :-) (this is the big failing of PB+)
When ready, I export to the Memo pad.
Once you do a Hotsync, your notes are now in Palm Desktop, and you can open it.
In Palm Desktop, navigate to your memos that you wish to export. Hilight the text, and choose the proper "Service" from the Services menu, and they are now in your Journal!
No, it's not elegant, and no, it isn't two-way. However, you can export from your Journal back to the Memopad, and use that, but I generally use my Palm for an info/thought gathering device, not my primary study, and this works just fine for that.
Oh, other Mac software to work with this. I have started using MacSword (http://www.macsword.com) more and more for my Bible Study (I still use Accordance as my primary tool, but with no Polish Bible texts, its functionality is limited for me), and while MacSword has note-taking abilities, it does not have the ability to export verse lists, or even save them. So, I have begun using my DevonThink journal for those as well. It turns out that my hub is slowly becoming my DevonThink journal, which ties all my software together, so I'm less "hamstrung" than I originally thought.
This is how one person works around the lack of good annotation notes on the Palm. I'm interested in how others accomplish this, and would love to hear how Windows-using Palm users could work this.
