SysNfo / Participate

SysNfo looks like being a useful program. "This will replace the standard system brightness dialog with a much more useful one. You will be able to control the brightness completely: ability to tutn backligh off, or set it lower than the system usually allows (good for Zire71, as its lowest possible system-set brightness is too bright for night use). Also lets you control the sound volumes (system, alarm, game). This program also shows the current date and time, and the free memory on the palm, and on the expansion card."

"Participate(tm) makes the painstaking--yet vital--work of scoring student participation a little easier--many say a lot easier! Rather than going to the board, fumbling with a gradebook, or sorting notecards, you can quickly look at your entire class on one small screen, tap on any student, and a point is automatically given (or taken away). Also, arrange students into groups and have the screen show where they sit."
