I know that Bible readers are some of the most popular software for Palm users, so I thought I would share a couple of programs I've found helpful.
The people at Church Pension Group (Episcopal) have a fairly active Web site with one neat little program for Palm users.
EpiscoCal for Palm,in the words of their site, "Places the Liturgical calendar at your fingertips." The app includes the Episcopal liturgical calendar, with Sunday lectionary some church news, as well. Finding out what the readings are going to be a couple of weeks in advance is quite helpful. Thanks to EpiscoCal I know that on the Third Sunday of Advent (Dec. 17) the Episcopal Churches will read from Chapter Four of Philippians and use Canticle 9.
Another great offering comes from the Diocese of Southern Ohio. They have a fully functioning version of The Book of Common Prayer in iSilo format.
As the authors say, "Fourteen pre-defined bookmarks are compiled-in to help navigate the table of contents which is actively linked to the body of the book. These can be edited, deleted, or added to by each user to suit your tastes." Hopping from Rite One to a particular prayer is super easy, as well.
Hope you can get some use out of these this holiday season.
