It's been good to read how other palm people have been using and enjoying their TX pda...what with all this excitement over the raft of recent new treo's it's easy to forget that there are still loads of great palm based pda's out there.
I've been championing the TX for a while now...it's the best palm pda I've ever used, great screen, loads of memory, wifi for all those wifi lovers out there (I've never used it personally), good built in apps and it's always been very stable for me.
I tend to use mine mainly for work these days...the screen is great for showing clients stuff that I've loaded on through Repligo (investment fund factsheets) and I store all my customer details on it for handy reference when I'm out and about. I also use QuickOffice now for editing and viewing excel and word docs. I've found the TX to be excellent for handling all the heavy duty number crunching stuff that I need to carry around with me at work.
But it's not all dull work stuff..the TX makes a great mp3 player and the screen is great for playing games on. I think it's hard to imagine how palm could improve on this device, the fact they haven't brought out a new pda for ages is testament, I feel, to how good the TX is as a pda.
I've also started using it recently for viewing offline websites via Sunrise XP and Plucker, I load them up via a sync in the morning and then read them on the way to work.

[From Rich Kendrick] As a long time KMaps (the original Google Maps client for Palm) user, I thought I should give a quick first impression of how the new GoogleMaps stacks up.
